As part of the Singapore Weightlifting Federation's (SWF) ongoing commitment to growing the sport of Weightlifting in Singapore, we are excited to announce the launch of the Youth Weightlifting Programme. This programme is designed for youths between 13 to 17 years old who are interested in learning the fundamentals of weightlifting and developing their skills as part of a Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) pathway.
The primary goal of this programme is to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment where young athletes can learn the basics of weightlifting, improve their strength and conditioning, and develop as athletes. With guidance from the experienced Singapore Weightlifting Coaching Team, participants will be introduced to the sport of weightlifting and have the opportunity to grow and aspire to compete at the highest levels.
While weightlifting is an individual sport, we strive to create a community where athletes can come together, form lasting bonds, and inspire each other along their journey. Athletes will have the chance to learn from one another, support their peers, and be part of a team culture that encourages both personal and collective growth.
