Singapore National Weightlifting Championship 2021 (SNWC2021)
SWF will be ending off 2021 with the Singapore National Weightlifting Championship 2021. Due to the current restrictions, there will be a total cap of 80 lifters for this competition and registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
SWF has been holding local national competitions as a platform for everyone to get together and gain experience the competitive atmosphere of Olympic Weightlifting. It also allows SWF to reach out to individuals who show potential in the sport.
Greater news for all participating athletes is that this upcoming competition will be a gateway to compete in the Singapore Weightlifting International 2022.
Singapore Weightlifting International 2022 (SWI 2022)
Singapore has been selected to host the qualifying championship (SWI 2022) for countries within the Asia continent of the Commonwealth region for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Countries in this region are Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, Singapore and Sri Lanka. The competition is slated to be held on 26-27 February 2022. All overseas athletes who wish to participate in this competition are to go through their respective national weightlifting federation as this is a sanctioned IWF event.
Athletes who have shown exceptional performance and standards in SNWC 2021 will be invited to participate in SWI 2022. This is a good opportunity for you to experience competing alongside top lifters from the above-mentioned countries. Compliance to WADA antidoping policies is compulsory.
